Summer fete raises cash for hospice

A summer fete held by The Hesley Group has raised £920 for our Doncaster Hospice.

The Hesley Group, based in Doncaster on Stripe Road, hold the fete annually raising money for St John’s Hospice at Balby.

The fete, which was held in August, raised an amazing £460 on the day and this amount was matched funded by The Hesley Group.

Over the last three years The Hesley Group has donated £3,820 to St John’s Hospice.

The cheque was presented to the hospice this week by Deborah Lanceley, General Manager, and Jayne Gill, Lead Activity and Engagement Facilitator, of The Hesley Group.

Maureen Harwood, of our hospice, said: “Once again thank you to The Hesley Group and all the great people of Hesley Village for their continued support over the years.  This donation, which is very gratefully received, will support and give our patients added comfort in their lives.”
