Spring fair raises more than £1800 for hospice

The Easter bunny called into a Doncaster spring fair, which has raised more than £1800 for the hospice.

St John’s Hospice at Balby held the event in the day care unit, off Weston Road, and it included craft stalls, tombola, plants for sale, cakes, live music and much more.

Takings on the day, together with the raffle, raised £1804.

Chris Smith, Community Fundraiser for the hospice appeal, said: “Thank you to everyone who attended and joined in the fun and helped us to raise this money. It was a fantastic event and every penny raised will be spent on making our patients’ lives more comfortable.”

Hospice volunteers and staff are pictured who have helped out at the fair.
