Spotlight on our Service Manager Sam Edwards

It’s really important to us to shine the spotlight on our team who provide our specialist palliative care services.

Today, we’re shining the spotlight on our Service Manager Sam Edwards, who leads a large service portfolio.

She joined the Hospice Team in March 2014 and was Clinical Team Leader until she took up her Service Manager role in 2022.

As well as leading the Hospice clinical and fundraising teams, Sam is responsible for the Trust’s Podiatry, Long Covid, Viral Hepatitis C, Cardiac Rehabilitation services.

Sam said: “Like a cog in a very large and important wheel, each and every member of our team works tirelessly within their role to provide high quality care and support to patients and families.

“We ensure that everyone in our team feels empowered and supported in what they do, and the nature of our work means we’re always there for each other when we need a listening ear, or a kind word.

“It is a great privilege to do what we do, and I am immensely proud to work alongside such a highly skilled and motivated group of people, who are so dedicated to what they do.

“The excellent feedback we receive from people who have experienced our care demonstrates that we really do make a difference. This drives us on to continue to develop and grow our specialist services for the future.”
