Race night for hospice appeal

A charity race night is going to get the cash rolling in for our Doncaster’s St John’s Hospice Appeal.

The night, run by the Thorne Rural Lions, has been organised by staff from NatWest Bank.

The event will be staged at Doncaster Golf Club, Bawtry Road, Bessacarr, on Saturday 1^st July, with doors opening at 7pm and the first race kicking off at 7.30pm.

There will be eight races – each and every one raising money for the Doncaster-based hospice.  After the racing, there will be a DJ so that those attending can dance the night away until late.

There will also be a raffle on the night, to help raise even more funds for the appeal.

Chris Smith, our Hospice Community Fundraiser, said: “I want to thank staff at NatWest for organising this event and donating profits to our appeal. Every penny we receive is spent on the comfort of our patients and their carers.”

Tickets cost £5 each or £50 for a table of ten.
