Family donates to St John’s Hospice

A Doncaster family has generously donated £400 to St John’s Hospice in Balby in memory of a member of their family who had recently stayed there.

Mr Mohammed Darabi and his family held a collection in memory of his wife. The donation increased following an auction on Facebook of an autographed boxing glove by professional boxer and current WBC Flyweight Champion Charlie Edwards, rated one of the best in the world.

Mr Darabi said: “We were impressed by the compassionate care provided by the staff at the hospice. The service was first class and made the family’s situation a lot more bearable.”

The donation was presented to Lindsey Richards of St John’s Hospice by Mr Darabi and his two daughters, Lucy and Libby.
