Family donates Dragonfly sculpture for our garden

Andrena’s dad Robert, brother Ross and daughters Heartley, Eveah and Destiny are pictured with the Dragonfly sculpture.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to the family of Andrena Lumsden for donating this beautiful dragonfly sculpture for our hospice gardens in her memory.

Mum of five, Andrena passed away, aged just 32, on 30 December 2022, after spending her last Christmas in the hospice, surrounded by her loved ones.

Inspired by the dragonfly branding and ornaments around the hospice gardens, Andrena’s dad Robert, who is a welder and fabricator from Bentley, crafted the dragonfly and donated it for our gardens, for other patients and families to enjoy.

The family told us: “We wanted to say thank you for the amazing care Andrena and our family received. She was determined to celebrate Christmas with her children and the hospice team did everything to make it so special for us all.

“St John’s Hospice will forever hold a special place in our hearts.”
