Crafty sew and sews boost hospice funds

A group of crafty sew and sews have boosted our fundraising efforts to the tune of £1,000, thanks to their handy skills.

The 20-strong members of Armthorpe’s St Leonard and St Mary Church Craft Group meet up weekly to knit, sew and crochet a variety of toys, decorations and ornaments which they then sell to raise funds for chosen charities.

Roger Pope, from Kirk Sandall and Pamela Drury, from Armthorpe, are pictured handing over their cheque to  Lindsey Richards from our fundraising team.

Lindsey, from RDaSH, said: “This is a fantastic donation. We’re so grateful to the church craft group members for giving up their own time to make and sell their handiwork on our behalf.”
