Can you donate a teddy bear?

Staff at our Doncaster Hospice are making a plea…..for the donation of new teddy bear’s in their latest Teddy Bear Appeal.

The plea comes after a box full of bears have now nearly all been adopted – and more are needed for youngsters who visit loved ones in the borough’s St John’s Hospice on Weston Road, Balby.

Chris Smith, Community Fundraiser for our hospice appeal, said: “The idea is that we have a toy box permanently filled with teddy bears. Patients can then give one of the teddy’s to children or grandchildren when they visit them.

“Besides the teddy the youngster also receives an adoption certificate,” added Chris. “It’s a great initiative which the children and their ill relative enjoy.”
