Rhythm gets the cash rolling in
Members of a Doncaster male voice choir have entertained shoppers – and at the same time helped to raise £300 for St John’s Hospice Appeal.
The Tickhill & District Male Voice Choir sang carols at Tesco in Balby and held a Christmas concert to get the cash rolling in.
Chairman of the choir, Mike Cookson, said: “We decided a few years ago to make the hospice the main beneficiary of our fundraising. It’s because it’s a local charity and a couple of our members have unfortunately needed to use this excellent facility.”
Chris Smith, Hospice Community Fundraiser, said: “I want to say a huge thank you to the male voice choir members. They support us regularly and we appreciate every penny that is donated to us, which all goes to support our patients.”
