Hospice receives £700 Hesley donation

Thanks to the generosity of The Hesley Group and this year’s Hesley Village summer fete, St John’s Hospice received a magnificent £700 boost.

The fete, which was held in August, raised an amazing £346.53 on the day and this amount was matched by The Hesley Group’s Chief Executive Chris McSharry.

The cheque was presented to the hospice on 2 October by Deborah Lanceley, General Manager and Jayne Gill, Lead Activity and Engagement Facilitator, from The Hesley Group.

Chris Smith, St John’s Hospice Community Fundraiser, said: “Once again thank you to The Hesley Group and all the great people of Hesley Village for their continued support over the years.  This donation, which is very gratefully received, will support and give our patients added comfort in their lives.”

In the last four years The Hesley Group which cares for residents of Hesley Village, has generously donated nearly £5,000 to the hospice.

The hospice is run by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH).
