Doncaster nurse to skydive from 15,000 feet to raise money for our hospice

A Sister from our hospice is taking a massive jump to raise money for us!

Jo Brooks will be tandem skydiving 15,000 feet from a plane in September to raise vital funds for the hospice. Jo is also on the lookout for a local business to kindly sponsor the £209 entry fee so all money raised can go directly to the hospice.

Money raised from Jo’s skydive will go to charitable funds which help pay towards complementary therapists, art therapists, volunteer expenses and the upkeep and improvement of hospice grounds for patients and families to spend time together.

Jo said: “I’m gearing myself up to do the skydive. I’m feeling quite nervous but also excited at the thought of throwing myself out of a plane! Doing it to raise money for the hospice is what spurs me on, because I know how much the people of Doncaster get from all of our services.”

Lindsey Richards also of the hospice, said: “We’re all delighted that Jo is doing something so daring to raise money for the hospice. It makes us extremely proud that our own staff are fundraising to support the services they are part of. Good luck for the jump Jo!”
