£500 boost for Doncaster hospice

A rotary club in Doncaster has been supporting a local charity by donating £500 to St John’s Hospice in Balby, Doncaster.

The Rotary Club of Doncaster St George’s run events throughout the year to raise money to enable them to donate to local charities, the club has donated in previous years to St John’s Hospice and wanted to spread the cheer again this year.

Ellen Plunkett, Club President said: “I am extremely glad to be able to make this donation on behalf of my club and district, we know how hard everyone works and how excellent the teams are, even more so in the current climate. We want to thank you all for everything you do.”

Lindsey Richards of the hospice said: “Thank you very much for the donation, it was unexpected and a very nice surprise which we greatly appreciate. We want to thank the club and its members for choosing to continue to support our hospice and thinking of us.”
