Fearless feat to raise cash for hospice

A fearless sister is going to jump from 10,000  feet in a bid to get the cash parachuting in for our Doncaster Hospice.

Donna Caygill, who lives in Lower Dunsforth near York, is doing the tandem skydive on December 2, setting off from Bridlington Airfield, and has already got £700 pledged – with a further £140 to come from gift aid.

Donna decided to do the jump after her sister Diane, of Doncaster, who has pancreatic and liver cancer, used the services of our Balby-based St John’s Hospice.

Donna said: I can’t thank or praise the guys at the hospice enough for what they have done and are currently still doing for my sister. They are amazing caring people who go above and beyond and deserve so much recognition.

“I would be so pleased if everyone could get behind me and support me in my terrifying quest, to thank the amazing hospice,” she added.

Chris Smith, our hospice’s Community Fundraiser, said: “Please get behind Donna and sponsor her. I can’t thank her enough for what she’s doing!  Every penny raised will go towards the comfort and the support of our patients.”
