Carers invited to enjoy ‘me time’

Carers who have loved ones who use our Doncaster Hospice’s services are being invited to enjoy some ‘me time.’

Called ‘Time for You,’ a drop in day is being held at St John’s Hospice, off Weston Road, Balby.

The session, which will be held on July 25^th from 10am until 3pm, offers carers the chance to unwind with a massage or reflexology, take part in group relaxation, and other activities including arts and crafts. There is also the chance to visit the hairdressers (this is charged at a reduced rate) and  also support on accessing other services.

Joanne Brooks, Hospice Sister, said: “Carers work really hard looking after a loved one – many of them 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and they deserve a bit of ‘me time.’ We hope that by attending our drop in day it will help them to find time to relax, think about themselves for a few hours, and have other carers to talk to.”
